OpenRoads Conceptstation

I am having problems getting the existing surface to refresh after making template modifications or adding bridges. Also the cut end condition doesn't work in some areas of the existing surface.

  • Kevin,

The existing terrain is clipped by proposed roadways. When you add a bridge, you naturally expect that clip to change such that it is no longer clipped, and I can only assume you are not seeing this behavior?

It should also be noted that when multiple proposed roadways overlap one another (i.e., end conditions from a ramp and a mainline road), the program gets confused as to how to properly make such clips. With each new release (one came out just a few weeks ago in case you were unaware) we are working hard to improve this process, but for now, you will need to add templates that have end conditions that help eliminate said overlap (steeper slopes, walls, etc)

Once Sanders has a chance to take a look at your dataset, we will see if we can suggest any refinements to help you get to your desired result
