Are there any native tools in Connect Edition, similar to MX Road, to check stopping sight distance along an alignment, specifying object alignment, eye alignment, comparing with a surface, and report it to a text file as:
Station | Distance Achieved
This was a native function out of MX Road, and Bentley did not bother to place any tool in SS4. Did they put anything in Connect Edition?
Nothing yet unfortunately

We have an Enhancement logged concerning the Sight Visibility. Enhancement 698123.
Why was it removed in the first place? Stopping sight distance is a fundamental check that controls project alignments and has massive impact on right-of-way.
The design standards tools include horizontal and vertical design checks and have been a part of OpenRoads since the first geometry tools were released some years ago. While they do not produce the same reports as the old MX tools they do provide the ability to define verticals alignments which meet both passing and stopping sight distance.

This does not consider lateral sight distance, which several projects have demonstrated are more stringent than the sight distance along an alignment. Just because an alignment meets stopping sight distance along its control line does not mean the grade corrected sight distance is met at every single lane at all locations along the alignment.
