ORD - "A Civil 3D model must exist in order to create Civil Cross Section boundaries"

Question

I created a new 2d file to create cross-sections in ORD. When attempting to "add boundary", I get the following error message 
 A Civil 3D model must exist in order to create Civil Cross Section boundaries 
 What prep work do I need to do prior to cutting sections. Is there a seed file for cross-sections?

You just need to have one of your views displaying the Default-3d model. A bit annoying but easy enough...

OK Marc, 
 I opened View 2 and right-clicked in the view to swap to the default-3d view. With View one and Two opened it created the sheets. I guess I had a little communication breakdown. I only did from station 10+00 to 26+00. I tried as you did to go to sta. 31+86 with no luck

Just setting your Terrain as active and having a 3d view visible will get it going.
