I am a new-ish SS4 user. I have completed one project in SS4 and am starting my second. It is a 20 mile widening project. I ended up with multiple terrains in my design file and am unable to remove/detach them. My corridor is running slow, which I expected, so I planned to split it into more than one corridor, but I want to clean it up before doing that. Can you direct me to the correct tools to detach terrains?
Do you have a recommended strategy to manage files with this length of project? My end conditions are simple. I am hoping to use just 2 corridors, each 10 miles long. Would reducing the limits of my terrain help?
BTW, I am unable to ask a question when using windows explorer.
FWIW our DOT came to the conclusion to model 2 miles max per corridor, anything longer than that could be problematic.

Which state is that? I am working with ND. Do you use a different file for each corridor, or put several in one file?
Michigan. I have a separate file per corridor to reduce problems down the road. As stated by Martin, I also reference my terrain into my corridor file. I also use a separate file for civil cells and reference that into the corridor.
Thank you. I have decided to use 10,000' per corridor, each in different files. And yes, I have my terrains in separate files. Thanks for the input.
