I have completed one project in SS4 and am starting my second. It is a 20 mile widening project. I ended up with multiple terrains in my design file and am unable to remove/detach them. My corridor is running slow, which I expected

RE: Detach Terrains in SS4

Thank you. I have decided to use 10,000' per corridor, each in different files. And yes, I have my terrains in separate files. Thanks for the input.

RE: Detach Terrains in SS4

Michigan. I have a separate file per corridor to reduce problems down the road. As stated by Martin, I also reference my terrain into my corridor file. I would also recommend that you put the terrain models in another dgn and then reference them in to your main design dgn. They still work perfectly well when referenced in and aren't dumb references the way Autocad behaves.

RE: Detach Terrains in SS4

FWIW our DOT came to the conclusion to model 2 miles max per corridor, anything longer than that could be problematic.
