I am trying to insert new VPI by using command insert vertex in my ditch profile, every time I tries my computer crashes. please help me how can I insert/remove/add vpi in proposed profile.

Are you using the Native GEOPAK tools? To do this with the SS4 OpenRoads tools, use the Civil Tools > Vertical Geometry > Profile Insert Curve command. The help document explains how to use the tool.
