Is there a reason the superseded sections of alignments stay in the active drawing and cannot be deleted when using complex redefine? They seem to remain as a complex element and when I delete it affects the new alignment.
Also, for a Bentley representative: Are there any upcoming Connect updates that will expand on the geometry editing functionality? It is extremely cumbersome making changes to vertical and horizontal geometry right now. Things we could do with InRoads 10 years ago take significantly longer in ORD.
ORD Update 2 will address the elements from complex redefine still being linked and allow them to be deleted. This release will also bring several geometry editing improvements that will assist. We will be presenting these enhancements at the upcoming Learn conference in Phoenix and the material will be available through CONNECT Adviser shortly afterwards.
I'd be interesting in getting a list of items you consider cumbersome so please feel free to reach out with an email or log a SR to discuss these.

Ian
It seems that the dgn really bogs down after multiple complex redefine commands on an alignment. Is that expected with the linking? It would be helpful to be able to edit an alignment in place without having to redefine, such as inserting reverse curves, removing PIs, etc. I think the same goes for the profile - easy enough to add vertices but not having the remove capability is a big hindrance to edits.
Thanks!
