Power Inroads process persisting after closing?

We are Running Power InRoads 8.11.09.845 (SS4).

I've recently noticed that often (but not always!) after I have exited the program, a Power InRoads process will stay in memory until I "End Task" in Task Manager. This doesn't seem to be caused solely by crashing (my computer has been suspiciously crash-free today), although I'm sure having more than one process in memory (when I re-open InRoads) does contribute to the crashing.
I remember that Geopak would do this fairly frequently, but I didn't notice this behavior with InRoads SS2

Has anyone else noticed this, or is this just my computer?
What can I do to make sure all processes close when I exit the program?

I cannot wait until we update to .878...
