We are Running Power InRoads 8.11.09.845 (SS4).
I've recently noticed that often (but not always!) after I have exited the program, a Power InRoads process will stay in memory until I "End Task" in Task Manager. This doesn't seem to be caused solely by crashing (my computer has been suspiciously crash-free today), although I'm sure having more than one process in memory (when I re-open InRoads) does contribute to the crashing.I remember that Geopak would do this fairly frequently, but I didn't notice this behavior with InRoads SS2
Has anyone else noticed this, or is this just my computer? What can I do to make sure all processes close when I exit the program?
I cannot wait until we update to .878...
I had the same issue and it was related to the Connect Advisor, see this post: https://communities.bentley.com/products/road___site_design/f/geopak-inroads-mx-openroads-forum/203679/openroads-designer-doesnt-close-tasks-stay-open-in-task-manager-that-have-to-be-forced-closed
Same problem here with OpenRoads Designer Connect Edition - 2020 Release 2
I have an open support ticket, and have supplied a simple .ma that illustrates the problem, but as yet have had no response as to what can be done about it. For our customers it represents a real problem because they are trying to write to hundreds or even thousands of DGNs in a series of batch processes, typically overnight or over a weekend. Sitting there and killing processes with Task Manager isn't practical for them.
I never found a solution. I just ended up making a habit of going to the Task Manager to end the process.
