Im using ss3 mxroad. Im trying to create 2 vertical strings inside a horizontal string. This is an idea to do a take off for cut and fill quantity and at same time to come up finish road level (FRL). Its actually varies from one designer to another designer on how we are creating a profile. Some are used to do a formation level at the profile for the ease cut and fill quantity. However, some will do FRL during the profile and fill quantify the cut and fill using excel templates. Hence, i need to create two (2) vertical strings in a horizontal curve, so that i can perform a cut and fill analysis and deliver vertical level for the FRL at the same time. Anybody has done this before? Please share your ideas.
Make a copy of the master and geometry strings, for example MC00 -> MC01, GC00 -> GC01, and ensure you change the sub-reference (EDIT 033) of the new strings to match. As you cannot create more than one vertical alignment for a master string, you need to have a copy with which to store the alternative vertical alignment.
