Is there any plan in the future to be able to add GIS data like pipe networks, and actually have the data come in to ConceptStation as 6", 12", 24" cylinders that read the GIS attributes from the GIS file?
Thank you
Hi Chris,
Have you tried opening the GIS data into a dgn, then importing the dgn into ConceptStation? I don't have GIS data of a pipe network, but I was able to create pipes in Power InRoads SS4, and import the dgn into ConceptStation and see different sized cylinders.

Yes, I can add it into a dgn and then reference that dgn into ConceptStation but I was just wondering if ConceptStation will be able to recognize the direct import from GIS in the future or will there always be the need to import it into a dgn first.
If you are wanting this type of functionality, I can file an enhancement request for you that development will review for future releases.
Yes, I would appreciate that. I emailed a GIS file with pipe network attributes to Jason Harkless after I spoke with him at the Bentley LEARN conference in Phoenix but I noticed that he is no longer with Bentley.
