Great to see ORD Update 2 in the fulfilment Centre, however at 1Mb, this appears to orchestrate the download and install of required and optional components only. Unsure how this new install method will align with the previous advice for silent deployment https://communities.bentley.com/products/road___site_design/w/road_and_site_design__wiki/33575/silent-installdeployment-image-for-openroads-designer-connect-edition or how organisations can package and deliver ORD to a larger group using enterprise delivery/install methods (SCCM etc.)
What are our options now?
Seriously nonsense, should upload offline installer instead. Following competitor style is totally not cool.

Dave this 'small packet installer' is widely used in the software industry but relatively new to Bentley. Here is some information to assist in creating a deployment package.

Ian, thank you a LOT for this reference! Without your post I can't imagine how long it would take to me to figure out how to advice our clients to prepare the deployment images!
I just can not understand, why it is made SO complicated (you need to read a bunch of documentation to figure it out that you need to start the install executable with /layout option, and then you need to read a bunch of documentation to learn how to use the Configure dialog to customize your deployment image options), while in V8i installation dialog, in the very first window there is obvious and easy to understand option "Extract only", and, if required, "Create Deployment Image". That's what I call, a proper user experience design:
