Hi
The What's New section states that there is an enhancement for drawing production to draw slope indicators/tad poles?
I am digging for that tool in the Ribbon, Toll Boxes and can not find it. How to access this tools? Is it a feature definitione/symbology setting?
Must say that I was waiting for this tool for a while.
thanks in advance
The video is here - https://communities.bentley.com/products/road___site_design/w/road_and_site_design__wiki/37274/video-side-slope-annotation
But I do not see how to draw slope hatchures as lines between. I agree it is outdated way how to annotate slopes but it is still a vital part of workflows.
Dream on, best what you can get with standard tools in any Bentley software is something like this. Nice isn't it?:
And now in CONNECT you can't even get that:
It would make more sense if you could define the need for tadpoles/slope signatures within the template end condition, rather than the feature definition.
we submitted change request to define slope patterns at the level of template in 2013/4. It look development chose different way.
Actually if you have developed template point naming conventon and assign proper feature definitions you will have your job done.
I agree it would be easier to set it at the itl template level, especially when you have slopes with benches or berms. I have tested that for just a simple cut/fill and it works as it works - my longer lines are not extended for the full slope width - what is required.
I need to test that a little more, I have this strange filling that this tool will get confused when you have more complex slopes setup (foreslopes, ditch backslopes, berms, benches or even slopes on the right and left side of you road when yousn the same feature definition for both sides...) will see.
Adam - change the length of the 'Line' in the Slope annotation which should get your longer lines reaching the full slope width.
