Hey Chuck and Adam. Sorry I didn't jump in on the conversation last week. I'll give using these tools a shot but it sounds like your right Chuck. I was using the utilities provided as a download with the Bentley training courses and it would appear that these are a newer version. Thanks for both of your inputs.

Yep, I wasn't using the most recent version. Thank you very much for the help! I for some reason didn't even think to look in the migration utilities folder!

Did the version of the tool you are using come with OpenRoads CE version 2? There are versions delivered with the product that may be newer than the ones previously made available. I did not believe I had copies here at work, but I did.

When I ran the version that lists v02.00.5 in its dialog title, the program was able to write Survey Features. This may or may not be the version delivered with the product, but the version is probably important as Survey was not in the product before Update 2, so a conversion utility from that release might not have any code or it might have incomplete code, for dealing with Survey data.

I checked and the xml file isn't empty. It's got quite a bit in it. I did create a new feature definition and tried the process again but when I got to the step of converting the new xml file to xlsx I still received the same error message.

I've had this one before. If you export an empty xml file, the converter cant read it. My workaround is to create a single feature definition before exporting, then delete it later.
