Hello, I have some questions to ask. There will be an upgrade to my pc and there are thoughts to updated PowerinRoads and get the OpenRoads Designer. I tried to open in a trial version the old files but it opens as read-only. how can I recognize the old files?I manage to open the dtm file but what about the alg file. I have an existing line of my pipe and I want to use it as my horizontal alignment. How can I import it to my project?
thank you in advance
Alexia
OpenRoads Designer is going to convert all the data to civil information. There is no InRoads explorer anymore so the use of the ALG and DTM are no longer possible other than importing them to generate the Terrain Model or Geometry.
You should be able to import the ALG through the OpenRoads Modeling pallet by going to the Geometry Tab > Import/Export. You can change the files of type to the InRoads Geometry File .ALG.

Hi Chris!
Yes this helped a lot, but I have another problem. I want to use the pline that I have to my drawing(pipeline) as horizontal alignment. I don't have it as separate file.
the blue line
I have it in AutoCAD file. I tried to import it like that but didn't work.
