Hi Rajan,

Yes it's possible, you can use OpenRoads Designer update 1 for this.

Unfortunatley it's not available in update2 due a bug

You have to create a 2D section. NOTE: templates can't have curves in it, it has to be build up on short straights See image

After import you have to make the points in the template smart.

I'm working in SS2 right not, and there is a command under the File menu to Import Template. If I remember correctly, this will allow you to select your graphics in your design file and import them as a template. I haven't done it in a while, but i believe that is how that was done. Perhaps OpenRoads has the same command.
