Hi all,
We've generated Sections using OpenRoads Designer (Update 2) and need to change our Reference Visible Edges to Cached from the default Dynamic setting to Merge to Master for export to a static DWG. The problem we have is that we are finding SOME elements (Terrains) disappear when we switch the setting. This doesn't occur on all sections, just a few. There is nothing apparently different between these sections.
Does anyone know what could be causing this? Unfortunately i'm not very experienced in the use of Visible Edges in Microstation.
Regards,
Mark
Hi Mark,
As you know, I was struggling with exporting dynamic XS to a static dwg export for a while. Your hints worked for me for with a simple test data. When I cut cross sections of a master model to show all merging corridors adjacent to my mainline, it failed to export, even with cached visible edges. There were few corridors referenced, lidar based terrain model, rock substrata, some underground utilities and structure objects.. ORD crashes everytime I want to export XS to static dwg or dgn. Going crazy with this.
Moreover, my lidar based terrain model will not be printed to pdf or paper until I turn on rasterize in Print Dialog. This makes pdf files bigger and quality is much worse. Not mentioning that you can nto serch for a text (eg. station) in muliti-page pdf file.
Nico Roman is is WAD, is it documented somewhere that when printing XS we should have rasterization toggled on?
Thanks
Adam
