I want to be able to create a a 2D Profile with station/elevation from a simple 3D line. I have been trying to follow along on all sorts of work flows I have been finding, but with no luck. Most involve a surface and I am not dealing with any surfaces. I have been able to open the profile model and view the profile I am describing, but not able to go any further than viewing it.
Thank you for any help. I am newer to the Microstation workflows. I have always worked with AutoCAD based programs for survey and design.
What software are you using? Purely MicroStation, or one of the civil applications?
I am using Microstation V8i SS4 with GEOPAK
I have never used GEOPAK, so will have to say I have no idea on this.Hopefully you will not be waiting long before someone gives you a solution.

Thank you so much for this guidance. I am able to follow steps 1-3. But because I am new to Microstation I don't understand the 4th step. I am not familiar with feature definitions. Also I don't have a profile created. At least I don't think I do.
I am also unsure of how to get the newly created 2D element in a profile with the stationing and elevation graphed and labeled.
