In OpenRoads Designer, is there a setting to allow labels to be placed relative to the current view? Similar to how dimensions and notes have always worked in Microstation.
I am trying to place a label (station, offset) in a design model with the view rotated parallel to the alignment.
Hi Zane, it doesn't seem possible to align a label with a rotated view. The best I could do so far was to insert the label with the label rotation set to inline and then move the leader terminator or the text.
This may not seem like a big issue. But for those of us who deal with construction plans on a daily basis, it is. Many projects require views or sheets to be rotated and align with the roadway. It is important for users to have the ability to label design data and orient it in the direction they choose. This is useful for creating plans, roll plots, exhibits, check plots and sketches. This new workflow for ORD would require users to make a drawing model and rotate the reference files just to add station, offset, elevation and coordinate labels. This is going to be super confusing for users. Especially for the average design engineer who isn't familiar with all the plan production aspects of Microstation.
Can you request a change which will allow Labels to orient relative to the view as regular Microstation notes and dimensions do?
I filed the enhancement request 823025.

Thanks
Has there been any movement with this Enhancement Request? Projected timeline or availability? I see that this has not been addressed in the 10.08.01.33 Release of OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition.
Thanks in advance!
