Hi all,
I would like to know if it is possible to bring 3D geometric information from linear utilities (designed with SUE workflow within OpenRoads Designer) into AECOsim Building Designer.
I mean the whole volume information and not just its layout as a 3D linear entity.
In the first image I can see 3D data in SUE which I would like to maintain back in AECOsim (in the second image I've lost volume data from the conduit whereas the inlet has been properly transferred). I've just opened the DGN from OpenRoads Designer into AECOsim; I don't know if there would be a better workflow to do this.
I would appreciate any suggestion or help!
Thank you
Regards,
Aitana
I would suggest referencing in the SUE/OpenRoads model, instead of opening it directly in OpenBuildings/AECOsim. Make sure you reference in the 3D model, not the Default 2D model.
The only way I've found is to publish i.dgn from ORD this publishes all data to the objects which when left as dgn is maintained in the civil data which can't be read by AECOsim
Regards
Chris
