We have a significant BIM requirement for the High Speed 2 Rail Project in United Kingdom.
We want to add too the subsurface features and map too project layers, so it passes CAD QA.
Is there a method to update the subsurface features definitions?
I watched the Workspace training videos and it states that Nodes and Conduits are not supported in the import/Export process??
Is this still the case?? What options do we have to get additional elements added to the library.
Hi Chris,
Are you intending to do this for display purposes ? I think it may be Element Templates which need to be looked at here. There are also some limitations with some of the SUE entities on import and export.
I'll have a look at what can be done and if we have some documentation on the limitations at the moment.

Hi Simon,
Our intention was to add to the Subsurface Feature definition lists
For example
Communications / Conduits
- uPVC (with pipe diameters)
- Buried Pipeline (with pipe diameters)
Communications / Nodes
- Mast
- Duct Tray (Type A, Type B...)
And then use the element templates to define the cells.
We want to imbed the features with BIM attributes for pricing like the Aecosim Catalogues.
Hi Chris,Are you editing DGNLib? If so, are you saying that when you right click on the Conduit/Node category you don't see New Feature Definition?
