We have a rather strict CAD QA system for the High speed Rail project in the UK (using Projectwise).
I'm slowing figuring out how to amend the ORD workspace so the models pass the cad QA procedure. But I'm hitting a glitch.
If I use ORD straight out of the box and assign a feature for example Terrain / Proposed Triangles. ORD will create a number of layers (for example... see table below)
If I change amend the layers in the Features_Annotations_Levels_Elem Temp Metric.dgnlib
The software doesn't create the layers. It instead puts them all on default.
I have tried enabling/disabling the "Element Template Association".
Any ideas?
So I think I have figured it out. After we have created a terrain. I can assign a "template" to the terrain and it will map to the correct layers. How can we automate this process when the terrain is created and the feature is selected in the first place?
I'm surprising myself. If anyone else wants to know.
This is controlled by Explore/Design Standards/Feature Symbologies. By Default when you export from ORD, it seems to revert back to "none".
