Update Release - 08.09.03.06 for InRoads, PowerSurvey and Civil Extension

Today, 12/31/2008 we released an update for the following XM products.

Bentley InRoads Suite XM Edition - 08.09.03.06

Bentley PowerSurvey XM for InRoads Users - 08.09.03.06

MicroStation Civil Extension XM for InRoads Users - 08.09.03.06

From the Fixes_InRoads.htm file

Incorporates fixes from 08.09.02.16 and 08.09.01.45

New

File

  • Import> Drainage. The ability to import the station and offset information of a structure was added.
    Drainage
  • Network> Design. With 'Clear ALL existing design tables' toggled on, all of the existing design table data is deleted prior to redesign. When the design is complete, there is new design data for the structures that were redesigned. This option is very useful when users load the database using their own programs. If not checked, any new structures added since the last design are added at random places in the design table instead of in the order in which they are encountered during the redesign. When checked, this option deletes the entries then performs the redesign and places the structures in the correct location in the design table.

Evaluation

  • Cross Section> Cross Section ASCII Report was added.

Fixes

General

  • Hovering over a graphic in a particular DGN file was crashing the software when the InRoads Group was loaded.
    Explorer
  • Drainage tab. Newly added drainage structures now automatically appear in the InRoads Group Explorer.

File

  • Save As> ICS was causing a crash with a particular FWD file.
  • Import> Surface> From Graphics. When importing graphics with tags in a particular dataset, memory leaks were causing a crash.

Geometry

  • Vertical Curve Set> Define Curve. Clicking Apply on this command was randomly producing a fatal error with a particular dataset.
  • Vertical Curve Set> Add PI. The PI was placed at the incorrect station when using the DG= key-in.

Drainage

  • Network> Design. The HGL was not being computed correctly for a channel in a particular dataset.
  • Network> Design. Crash when bypassing flow to a structure outside of the current network.
  • Network> Design. The grate inlet capacity calculation was using the incorrect Eo for composite/depressed gutter sections.
  • Structure> Move in Profile. The manhole bottom was not moving when moving the corresponding pipe.

Survey

  • View Survey Data> Planimetrics. Offsets were not being utilized correctly in temporary graphics.
  • The option of ByLayer Color in Survey Plan Line Symbology for AutoCAD was not creating the line with the ByLayer Color.

Evaluation

  • Profile> Create Profile. The profile set was not being recognized when created with the Define Vertical Curve Set dialog active.
  • Profile> Create Profile. Invalid flow directions in a drainage network were causing this command to crash. An informative warning now displays.
  • Profile> Create Profile was crashing with a particular XIN file.
  • Profile> Annotate Drainage Profile. Inlet invert was annotating incorrectly for an inlet attached to a curved pipe when "Annotate All Inverts of Structures" was toggled on.
  • Cross Section> Create Cross Section. Curved pipe was not curving in the cross section.
  •  Cross Section> Annotate Cross Section. A crash was occurring when annotating a discontinuous surface in a cross section.
  • Cross Section> Add Surface to Cross Section. No surface information was being added with a particular dataset.

Modeler

  •  Create Template. When keying in a new name for the end condition target surface name, the name was reverting to Active after clicking Apply.
  •  Create Template. The benching flag is now ignored when the first segment is flat.
  • Modeler> Roadway Designer. With the Corridor Management dialog active, clicking and scrolling in plan view was causing a crash.
  • Roadway Designer. Invalid end condition components were causing a crash.
  • Roadway Designer> Point Controls. Secondary alignment graphics were displayed at the wrong offset in both plan and cross section view.
  • Roadway Designer. Templates were not transitioning correctly in a particular dataset.

Drafting

  • Plan & Profile Generator. With different levels specified for the Clipping Boundary and Symbols & Details, the graphics were being placed on the same level.
  • Plan & Profile Generator. The View Layout X and Y coordinates were not honoring the full decimal precision stored in the XIN file. It was truncating coordinates to the current decimal precision in the dialog.

Quantities

  • Compute Quantities> Sheet. Some quantities were not being computed in a particular dataset.

Tools

  • The hectar value of a closed area was incorrect in the style sheets.
  • Named Symbology Tools. A problem was fixed in which various text did not display correctly on command dialogs under this menu.
  • Named Symbology Tools> Import Named Symbology from CSV was crashing the software with a particular CSV file.
  • Variable Manager> Survey - Add Prefix to Generated Points. The cogo points with a 'GEN' prefix were losing their association with their corresponding alignment.
  • Variable Manager> Survey - Exclude Generated Points from the Cogo Buffer. Points removed from the cogo buffer still existed in the created alignments.
