Hi,
I've figured out how to export one cross section to a DWG but the export process took 3 minutes and 10 seconds.
I have 190 cross sections that need to be converted to DWG but I don't really have 10 hours to do this.
I also don't really want to open each model and change visible edges to cached manually.
Is there a quicker way of doing this?
Can my cross sections be arrayed into one model so that cached visible edges can be applied to all 190 at the same time?
Josh
Hi Josh,
Is this ORD ? how have you created the cross sections ? Have you used the tools in Update 2 ?

Hi Simon,
I am running into the need for this on multiple projects now (exporting cross sections to a single model or SS4 dgn file). Can this functionality be added in Update 3? Ideally, one could do a static export of the cross sections into a single model. We have subs working in SS2/SS4 that cannot use the design cross sections done in OpenRoads Update 2.
Thanks!
There are a couple of keyins you can use to save some time - maybe with a vba macro or the batch processor.
"reference visibleedges allattachments cached" - change all references visible edges to cached
"reference merge all" - merges all references to master
Hope that helps!

Just an update - No need to change all reference visible edges to cached for section DWG export from Update 3. Merge Visible edges still needs to be ticked in DWG options though.
Hello, Mark,
ORD 10.03.00.43 spanish Visible Edges NEEDS to be cached. No other turnaround found. And in most cases, got a error message about dwg file creation.
Best regards.
Hello Francisco,
Did you get the following error when you export section to DWG ?
Purva Lakde
Unfortunately I jumped the gun there - it worked for some datasets, but you are correct - not solved YET
One thing I have learnt since that we can add this to our workspace to get this resolved:
MS_REF_VISEDGE_ATTACH_STATE = CachedAutomatic
It seems to be a solution for now...
