Hi, is there a way in Openraods designer to import breaklines ang get them to drape only on vertices of the surface? I have a topographical map with text elevation and lines that passes from point to point, but everything is in 2D. I can import the text as elevation but how do I get the line elevation automaticaly?
In ss2 I would import the breaklines and drape them on the vertices of the surface previously made by the text import, the resulting surface would then be perfect.
I know I could use profile by surface tools but I dont want to set each profile for each line, is there a way to import the breakline in the same manner as Inroads SS2?
Thanks
Have you tried using the Create Terrain by Text Interpolation Tool? That would be the closest that I could think of.

What about the breaklines themselves?

İs there any Solutions?
First you use the create terrain from text, then you have to use the command Profile From surface, this command basicaly mimic what Inroads could do.
Then you add the 3D breaklines created from this command.
Hope this help.
Posting a follow up question on old posts may result in your post being ignored. It is always better to write a new post when the last reply is more that a few months old.
That said, you should search for breakline types in Open Roads. There is a very recent post that talks about this and I think it discusses the help topics. I believe I may even have asked a similar question and I think a reply to it was one of the better responses on this topic.
