When I type "National CAD Standard Workspace" into search the most recent post seems to be from 6 years ago. So, seems like an update is in order.
Does Bentley have any intention of offering an "out of the box" Workspace for OpenRoads Designer that is NCS compliant?
Thanks,Chris
I filed an enhancement (871800)request on your behalf. ORD National CAD Standard Workspace

Thank you.
We're digging into Openroads and I'm searching around for NCS based workspaces to no avail so far. There was another thread from a couple of yeards ago regarding this that provided no guidance on this topic either. I'm a big proponent of the NCS and I'm left wondering why this hasn't been adopted in base seed files delivered with product. This standard provides the most logical way of navigating level/layer standardization. This should be taken more seriously IMHO.
We have collectively decided that when TxDot releases their workspace this coming spring, that we would attempt to adopt as much as possible. With modificaitons to match local requirements as needed per agency. But I'm thinking at the moment that chances are high that their seeds will not be NCS compliant either. Does anyone know or have any further information that I could weigh before I pull the trigger on building it myself?
thanks in advance
I believe that more energy is being put into product improvements (bug fixes, stability, full range of tools) than into standards development.
Maybe you could ask the other way - and see if the NCS folks are interested in providing an OpenRoads workspace?
