Hey Robert,

I agree, I see this same exact thing day in and day out. I could almost copy your post word for word and make it my own!! Very frustrating.

Have you tried working with ORD in ProjectWise? I am seeing about a 5 sec delay when I click on the File menu for the program to actually go to the File menu area.

I have found that leaving the Explorer closed helps in general with speed but the problem is that explorer is fundamental to the software so I end up toggling it on and off a million times a day. The software is simply not fast enough at gathering everything to populate and keep the dialog up to date. Have you tried closing explorer, saving settings, the closing and reopening the file to see it if that is any faster?

Hi Robert, I'm not having the same issue. From the time I Browse to the file I want and click Open till the time the file opens is approximately 30 seconds give or take. I'm having some issues setting up and using OpenRoads that I'm slowly overcoming but the time it takes to open files isn't one of them. I know this doesn't help fix your issue but it gives you an idea of how long it's taking others. Good luck.

More Information: I was wrong about previous versions. They do not steal focus in this manner. This is a new problem in ORD.
