mstn V8i SS4 v8.11.09.829, Inroads V8i SS2 v08.11.07.625, Win7
I want to edit the application pull-down menu throughout the organization to remove Storm & Sanitary since we are not licensed for it. I can't quite figure out how.
We use configuration files to point to standardized files on the network. there is a dgnlib set up that has our interface in it, and I was told that I have to edit the dgnlib to remove the menu option. When I open the dgnlib and use Workspace>Customize, Tools tab, Menubar>Applications>Inroads, everything is green (read only?) and the editing options, like Delete, are grayed out and unavailable. I have the same results if I open a generic dgn instead of the dgnlib.
I found a few posts in the forums that said to make sure that the dgnlib is added to MS_GUIDGNLIBLIST, so I added it, restarted mstn, but I am still unable to edit the menu.
Any advice?
for what it's worth I wrote a batch file to rename the unlicensed modules - this is actually the Bentley way to do this as per
https://communities.bentley.com/products/road___site_design/w/road_and_site_design__wiki/21014/can-i-disable-unlicensed-products-that-are-downloaded-with-inroads-suite
InroadsDeactivate.bat
ECHO OFFECHO Deactivate Inroads Applicationscd C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\InRoads Group V8.11\bin\ren stormsan.exe stormsan.ex_ren InRailSuiteAT.dll InRailSuiteAT.dl_ren bridge.exe bridge.ex_cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\InRoads Group V8.11\bin\productsren StormAppAT.dll StormAppAT.dl_ren RailAppAT.dll RailAppAT.dl_ren BridgeAppAT.dll BridgeAppAT.dl_PAUSE
... deactiveates the modules that show up in the script. You get two error messages about the missing dll if you try to run one. I still would like to remove the option from the menu - renaming or deleting files is a workaround.
