Hi,
I am trying to label utilities in cross section sheets in Connect. I have created a 3D file and made underground utilities into conduits and they are showing up perfectly in the cross section sheets (correct size conduit, offset and profile location)! Now I want to label them using the cross section annotation group. I am trying to label them by creating a point annotation but the conduit feature definitions will not display. It only allows you to select linear feature definitions or alignment feature definitions.
I might be going about this the wrong way.
Thanks,
You need to use the place label tool to label them, not the annotation group.

Yes but that's not an automated label is it? To use that tool I need to go into each cross section model and label the conduits individually. I was hoping for to get them labeled when the cross sections are cut. Is that possible?
As the program progresses, More functionality will be added in future releases.
Hi Nico - Bentley's been selling users on this product for a while now and how we need to be advancing forward with it, but every time we turn a corner we're greeted with a response like yours. I don't doubt that it's accurate, but while clients are still requiring plans instead of models, we have to be able to place labels like this automatically. We're running sections for almost three miles of road, so manually labeling each utility on each section with the place label tool is incredibly inefficient - unless I'm misinterpreting the intent. Can you give me an estimate of when this functionality will be available, because until then this is just another reason to stick with SS4 (which really pains me to say).
Dan
Is there an update on this functionality?
2021 R1 will label crossing features now... ehhh, finally.
