ORD 3 Line Styles Scales Are Being Scaled Twice

When creating a new file from our seed file it appears that some how the line styles are being scaled twice.  Our seed tile annotation scale lock is on and set to a 1"=50' scale and when we create a new file the annotation scale lock for it is also on and set to 1"=50' as well.  The line style scales appear as though they have been scaled by 50 twice.  The line style scale (spaces between dashes for instance) appear very large.

Anyone have any ideas on how to correct this?

Thanks,

Chris

  • Just to bring everyone else up to speed here in the forum in case someone might have some input, here is the content of a letter I sent to Kevin yesterday afternoon that gives a little more background as well as things I've tried to do to correct it.

We're having an issue with alignment line style scales.  The scale is two large and we’d like to reduce it?  I’ve tried a number of different things to adjust them but I’m not having any luck so far.

To give you some back history…

I’ve created a new file from our seed file (which had it’s Annotation Scale Lock on and set to 1”=50’).

My feature definitions dgnlib files Annotation Scale Lock is also on and set to 1”=50’

In my new file I import in an alignment (xml file) and it comes in fine.

I then click on the alignment and go to its properties and set its feature definition to C-ALGN-MAIN.  The line style changes to match the feature definition.  The problem is the scale of the line style is much too large.   The spaces and dashes are much too long.

I tried turning off the feature definition files annotation scale lock before assigning the feature definition to the alignment in my new file but this didn’t help.

I also tried opening my seed file, going in to the properties of the model in the seed file and turning off Propagate Annotation Scale before creating my new file.  This also had no effect.

In my new file I also opened the Line Styles Settings menu, highlighted the line style the feature definition uses and clicked the Scale Factor box and gave it a value of .25.  This had not effect.

I then went to my feature definition dgnlib file and changed the line style scale factor there to .25, made a new file, imported in my alignment and again, assigned the feature definition to it.  The line style scale is still the same.  Nothing has changed.
