Hello Team,
Am facing a problem to generate the Vertical schematic for profile which was done using export to native method(Openroads SS4) as the Vertical schematic option is greying out( Screen shot attached) while creating the long section. The procedure which I followed is as below,
1. Creation of new model with suitable style set(mxroad.pss),
2. Setting up the created model as active model and amending the Feature style as Geom_centerline,
3. By selecting centerline in open road model view, changing of Feature definition to Road centerline
4. export to native, then data point to accept.
Kindly suggest if am doing any mistake while exporting the Design centerline to native MX which might be causing for greying out of vertical schematic tool or any other solution..
Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the quick reply DELORD Alicia.
Followed the method you suggested. Still Vertical schematic dialogue option is greyed out as earlier.

Chethan ML
Hi,
I've got to be sure:
You are on Openroads SS4, and you exported your model to MX? Is that right?
DELORD Alicia
But I exported my design with the Option Export to Native with in open road tools. Even after exporting am opening my design in Alignment method to create HC00. Even after am unable to get the Vertical schematic while creating Long section.
Kindly suggest
Ok. Can you take a screenshot of the models explorer in File/Explorer? at the lines HC00, VC00,LC00, MC00...
Hi Alicia,
Am able get the HC00 by retrieving it. But, am unable to get VC00 as vertical profile is not getting retrieving . Scree shots attached.
Kindly suggest.
Further to this, am confirming that, active profile is available in the open road dgn from where mater string is exported to Native MX. Kindly check the screen shot below.
But same profile will get rid as and when I create the HC00 master.
Hi Chethan,
Ok, that's what I thought and tried to explain you.
Your VC00 exists but the geometry is not retrieved.
As you can see on your second screenshot (VC00), only the terrain profile is displayed, not your VC00. There is no vertical geometry. That's why you can't draw it with the profile edition tool.
Your last screenshot concerns only Openroads, not MX.
Your problem appears in MX after an exportation. So, forget Openroads and concentrate on MX please.
After an exportation, consider that all the past edited view are not correct. It's only a display at a moment T.
So:
In File/explorer, select the model and delete HC00.
In alignment/horizontal alignment, tick "Retrieve Alignment, select MC00. MX will create a new HC00.
Then, go in alignement/vertical alignment, VC00, and tell me what happens.
The normal path would be that MX will select automatically VC00, and "recreate" the geometry. So you won't have to design it once again.
If, not, then, design it again.
Then, it will be available in the profile edition tool.

Thanks for the brief explanation Alicia.
I tried to retrieve the alignment and HC00 also created, but as soon as I enter into vertical profile option ie creation of VC00, entire Design profile is not getting retrieved and the same screen shot is attached below again.
However, as you suggested, I need to recreate the profile once again.
But still am worried that why Vertical profile has not been retried!!
Thanks Alicia for your time.
Hi Chetan,
This situation happens after exportation. Sometimes it keeps the vertical geometry, sometimes it doesn't. I don't know why.
As the vertical geometry doesn't exist, the tool can't be available.
Draw once again your VC00, and I think it next steps will be ok.
