Geopak looses connection to the gpk in the middle of work flow. You have to get out of the file and get back in to get it to see data in the gpk.
Line styles disappeared again. If I was using Geopak this would have also brought on the loss of the connection to the gpk file. Only way to restore is to get out of Microstation and restart. This is not normal.
Thanks for your help I'll get with my network guy.
Yes, they could. Our MicroStation resources are stored on the network, and when we do not have access to the network (for whatever reason) we do not have access to those resources. That includes linestyle definitions. And even if the interruption is only intermittant, not all of the resources seem to load correctly until MicroStation is restarted.
I have a guy in a remote office who has a devil of a time some days due to inconsistent long-distance network access. We've seen all kinds of weird things "drop out", from civil data to linestyles to plotting to elements which "disappear" until the file is reopened.

We can't say for sure, because you have told us nothing about your MicroStation configuration or network design.
It's common for MicroStation resources (data files) to be stored on a network server. That way, all MicroStation users can share the same common data. It's possible that your line styles are stored on a network server. If that's the case and if your network is dodgy then, yes, the network could be the source of missing line styles.
Talk to your IT guys.
