All my survey data is supplied using AutoCAD (2010) drawing files athe surveyor
I have a problem importing AutoCAD drawing elements into MX using the Import Cad Data wizard (DrawingImport.exe).After acknowledging the the (wizard will modify drawing) warning, the wizard does not display and DrawingImport.exeis no longer running (not shown in Task Manager).
No error or other message is shown ,but I have notices that after DrawingImport.exe crashes, many menu items are now greyed out (including Close Project)
I have also tried using the MXConversion toolbar, but this also fails to do anything.
A Support Request was been submitted late last week, but I have yet to receive a reply from Bentley.
Hardware/Software:
Hi Andrew,
My client also faced this problem before after they installed the MXTool,
I helped them to remove MXTool and also MXROAD completely and do fresh installation of MXROAD without MXTool,
Managed to bring up the DrawingImport.exe pop up again,
I hope Bentley got another way to resolve this.
Best Regards,
Kugan (Account Manager & Technical Adviser on MX and ORD)
Thanks for your insight Kugan.(I entered a reply earlier, but can't see it - maybe I got interrupted and didn't hit send)
I too hope Bentley can come back to me with a better solution as well.A conflict with MXTools is unlikely. My old PC had MX 8.11.09.879 and MXTools running and CAD Import Wizard worked OK. That machine was effected by a major DirectX bug with it's NVidia card. It made MX unusable, so no going back.
