Hello,
I'm currently working in OpenRoads SS4 annotating some alignments. I finally figured out how to get Auto Annotation to work but now I'm running into an issue. The automated annotation is not showing the correct stations. The alignment I'm having trouble with was originally created in InRoads, but I imported the ALG am now working in OpenRoads.
As you can see in the picture above, the starting station of my alignment is 53+94.82. But as you can see, the stationing tick is wrongly showing 53+00.
I am new to OpenRoads but I have experience with InRoads. I know if I were to annotate this alignment via InRoads functions I could set the station limits of the stationing and resolve the issue (see below) but I'm trying to avoid that. I want to use auto annotation as much as possible.
If anyone knows how to adjust how the stationing is laid out when using Auto Annotation, I would greatly appreciate your help.
To anyone who answers this, thank you for your time
If you hover over the element until the properties dialog come up and select it what does it show for stationing? You can edit it there if it is different.
Idaho Red
Hopefully this answers your question
The stationing seen here is correct. Alignment begins at station 53+94.82 (rounded). But like I said, the actual station label above the tick is incorrect.
If that tick is at the very beginning of your alignment (POB Sta. 53+94.82) it may be rounding/truncating that station value. It may not be that the tick for 54+00 is wrong; we may be looking at a POB tick that is only showing the value to the left of the "+".

At first I thought that's what is was as well, but when I do tracking along the alignment, I notice that the subsequent ticks aren't at the correct stations either. Below are two screen shots to illustrate. If the 53+00 tick was a rounded POB tick, I would expect to also have ticks at the proper 54+00 and 55+00 locations
But as you can see, it looks like whatever is offsetting the first tick, is carrying through for all of the ticks
When we migrated from SS2 to SS4 We found that some of our alg styles had issues with stationing. Try changing the style or Feature Definition to a type you know that works. We had styles like ALG Green, ALG Red, ALG Ramp, etc and many of them will not display stationing right
