Thanks for that, yes the fill volume is now included.

Versions that I'm using are

Microstation V08.05.02.55

Inroads V08.09.01.45

Projectwise V08.09.04.63

Bruce, I never asked which version your were running. Our latest version has what you need in a report output. Please let me know if I an be of any other assistance. Thomas

Hi Thomas

Please find attached a couple of PDF's showing cut situation and fill situation. It is a very simple cross section for about 40 km of road.

Also XML report file for the sample sections

You will note that the fill volume listed is above the stripped surface only but is included in the mass haul.

Yes thanks for your note. When I annotate the cross sections with the volume areas I can see the topsoil to be replaced is anotated but this area is not included in the report. as fill. Not sure though if I'm using the latest xml report file.

It could also be my workflow that I need to twek somewhere.

You might have some other thoughts or I can send you a snap shot of the files

Bruce,

The end area volumes command provides a volume for the area of fill. It also provides the "topsoil to be replaced" which is the unsuitable material under fill areas. You are not getting this in your Volumes.xsl report?

Hi Brian,

Yes I have a problem and I'm looking for an answer.

Unsuitable area under embankment is not being reported in total fill although it seems to taken into account in the Mass Haul.

Maybe this is a similar problem but I would like to find an answer or work around

Is this the first station? THere are no volumes calculated at the first station.

Is this data specific. is it happening on other data sets and corridors within the same project. You may need to send the data in for additional analyisis.
