I am trying to make my corridor follow a line from a reference by a point control. However after selecting the corridor and all the properties I have to select a Plan Element. I can't select the line I want it to follow because "The element has no name". The line is a complex element on the left side and a complex chain / line string on the right side, I have no idea why this is different though I have tried merging the reference into the master, drop element, plan by 3D element, changing from 3D to 2D seed file and vice versa but all without result. I can't find a solution elsewhere online either.
How can I make this line selectable for plan element in order to get my point control to follow the line?

Try giving the element you want to use as a point control a civil feature definition. 'Set Feature Definition' tool.
This worked one time for one line only, couldn't get it to work for all elements.
One way I found to make it work is to create a new line under the tab Geometry > Complex Geometry > Define By Best Fit and then set a feature definition in the properties menu. This creates a line that can be followed by a Point Control.
