I was just wondering if there is a method currently available to import these point cloud file types into OpenRoads. We have a project that is using vehicle mounted LIDAR, and need to make a dtm from it.
Surely there is a way for you to export .las or .laz or any other pointcloud format from your scaning device. If not try exporting your file from recap in those format or .e57 format. Be sure that all coordinate system match perfectly.
I wish that was so, but I received the file from our sub in this format, although I have recap 360 it does not allow me to change data formats. I am hoping that he can give me a file in a more friendly file format.
Strange because me to have the same version and when I hit ctrl-e for the export command I get to chose how I wish to export the file. Have you try with other file in Recap?
I did not know of that command, I'm trying right now. And our sub will be getting me LAS file today.
Yeah for Recap (and other Lidar data) you do not "save-as" you export files, same as microstation.
