Superelevation on Undivided Planar Roads ORD Update 3

Hello Everyone,

I would like to know how to calculate superelevation on Undivided Planar Roads, see Figure. I have tried the different methods available but I have not achieved the result I need.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

  • Hello, Holly

I reviewed the superelevation training videos.

The videos show the steps for the creation of superelevation and the different editing methods, but in the videos they do not show a case similar to the one I have.

I have only one alignment with the following configuration:

    - Two lanes 3.65 m each.
    - Normal crown: -2% for the right lane and +2% for the left lane (Planar Road), see figure:

I build the lanes and I calculate the superelevacion with "Crown" pivot method and the superelevation has errors, see figure.

So, I changed the pivot method to the "Centerline" and the errors in the superelevation continue, see figure.

In both cases the superelevation of the right lane is superimposed with the superelevation of the left lane.

    Can anybody help me?

    Thank you very much.

    Regards,
