I am trying to calculate volumes of different layers of asphalt and different layers of groundwork. I've created a template which contains all these layers, where the final groundwork layer is variable (slopes and ramps or not). In my template this layer's bottom points are defined by a slope constraint (50%) and a "Project to surface" constraint. This all works fine and I can get the volumes from a single corridor and its layers by clicking corridor reports and selecting corridor componet quantities.
However, when adding corridors for entry and exit lanes the volumes overlap, so when I calculate the volumes per corridor I will get parts that are counted double. I am looking for a way to either "merge" the volumes or extract them from one another at the parts where they overlap. I have tried selection one corridor and "Define target aliasing" and then selecting the other corridor, however the volumes of both are still present and mixed.
How can I substract these overlapping volumes in order to get the right volume quantities per layer?
Thanks in advance!
I think you may want to target your other corridor to eliminate the large area of overlap. The goal would be to get the model correct so the volumes tool could compute correctly.
