TLDR: Will removing 2007 Acces Database Engine in order to install the 2010 64 bit engine ruin my Office programs?
Hi all. I am trying to set up the modelbuilder in SUE (OpenRailDesigner Connect edition) and it seems that I have to have the AccessDatabaseEngine 2010 64 bit installed in order to use a .mdb file to build the model from. My current ADE is 2007, and the office suite I have installed is 32 bit. I know this is not a Bentley issue, but I think I will have more luck finding help here than on MS forums.
Would it at all be possible for me to remove the old engine and install the new one, while still having my Office suite functional since they are 32 bit. I have a feeling I would have more luck with somehow converting the .mdb information to shapefiles and then import those instead, than I would having my entire office suite converted to 64 bit. I think there is something with a lot of addins that will not work on 64 bit.
