MXV8i - Unable to open earlier *.*mmd in new ver MXV8i

Dear All,

Does anyone have solution how to open projectname.mmd from MXV8XM in new version of MXV8i?

As I aware, the solution is to create new projectname.mmd, and click "NO" to overwrite the existing modelfile. Recently, some of our client upgraded their MXV8XM to MXV8i (Australasia) .

Below is the error appear when I try to open existing project from MXV8XM in MXV8i.

also attaching a video clip of the error for more understanding.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

  • Kunga,
The file indicated in the capture stores parameter settings for the project mmd that are upgraded between versions. If the version is from XM to V8i then this really shouldn't even really come into play.

Unfortunately I couldn't view the media clip which might have helped, so instead I need to ask some questions
 Does the file exist on the system ?
 What lang / country kit version was it going from and to ?

Might be worth supplying the mmd for further investigation by an analyst

    Regards

http://www.mediafire.com/?z2211wdz4lf (The file size is 525kb, very small)

     Thanks,

and I also received a response from TSG, and the same I did earlier. Not as I wished for...

    "Hi Kugha
The best option is to create a new project, whenever version changes. It is because some of the parameters / files/ directories change when there is a version change.
The existing .mmd file has reference to some paths which become obsolete when new version is installed.
    I hope above is fine.
    With best regards
