I want to import some proposed features into a surface all as one seed name to control come curb locations in my cross-sections. Is there any way I can do this all at one time and get all the elements into one feature?
The only way I have been able to figure out how to do it so far is to import each item seperatly and have them append to the feature I want them in. It would be nice to be able to just do it all at once they are not all connected. I'm using Inroads XM 8.9.1.45
Hey Truckmann,
You should be able to do it with a selection set. Set it to single mode and Accept when prompted to use a selection set.
Or you can use the Import surface advance to do this as well. Good luck
Thomas
I have been trying to do it with a selection set, but unfortunately no matter what settings I have used I still get multiple features with the append function on unless I import each linestring individually.
I haven't tried using the advanced import yet. I will have to see if that works any different.
EDIT: Advanced import doesn't do what I want either... I seems there is not a way to import multiple non-conected linestrings into one feature all at one time.
Hi truckmann, Let me approach this a different way... are you wanting them in one feature because you are going to use them as a point control? If that is the case, you might try just giving them all the same Style and use a Style Constraint on the point, instead of point controls.
Is this possible?
Thanks, Kevin
