I am running PowerCivil for Americas V8i (as replacement for PowerSurvey GEOPAK).
I am importing a new contour and feature survey and so have started with a blank 3D dgn file, created a new project and in the process of creating a new dataset from raw Leica DBX data, PowerCivil "locks up", simply freezing with the hour-glass (Microsoft thinking / processing symbol).
I appears to be getting "lost" somewhere in the process of creating the .obs file, managing to create some .tmp & .tbx files, as well as the control .ctl file and the .raw file.
There is a message in the MicroStation message bar which reads "01A.cgr=>01A.obs 01A.ctl"
I have attached the screen shots of the process, the above message and the files created - which include the 13 raw DBX Leica files.

The issue was caused by having empty fields in the Linking Codes, they need to be populated even if the codes are not been utilised. See the attached screen shot.
