Hello,
I would like to make a cut in a corridor sidewalk because I have to model a ford/crossing (like the picture). I use OPENROADS DESIGNER.
My idea is to place a solid 3D (the blue one in the picture), and clip it from the corridor.
After that, place in the correct site a solid 3D with the correct "wedge" shape.
But the problema I found, is that : 1) I cant use "Cut solid" neither "Difference Feature", between a solid 3D and a part of a corridor. And 2) If I place a shape (drawing 2D) and use "clipping reference corridor", the program make a total cut of all width, and I only need to cut a defined volumen, only the superficial layer, not every one!
How could I solve this problema? What would be the best way to model this?
Thank you very much,
Patricia Manzanero
Hi Patricia,
Clipping is currently only in the 2d plane - its on my wish list

You can model such elements using Civil cells. Have a look here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=786kIu9rvOI
