In legacy products a single contour was able to be loaded from a TIN/DTM. This converted to a 3D line/spline.
Is there a tool in ORD to load a single contour?
Hi Martin,
There may be an easier method, but I recommend referencing your contours to new design file and Merge Master. Open your new design file, fence contours and Drop. Reference your new design file to your Terrain to edit and select Terrain>Edit>Add Feature, this will allow you to load a single contour from the new design file to your terrain.

By 'load contour' do you mean create/display just the one contour? if so, you can use the Analyse Point tool on a terrain which displays a dynamic contour - just hit left mouse button to get the contour 'drawn' to the DGN.

How would I get it to display the contour of a known elevation if I don't know where a corresponding plan element might be? I'm usually given an elevation to check, but there is often no plan element that I could analyze for that elevation.

I set the Major and minor contour interval in my element template to 67.45 (assuming that was what I wanted) - the screen shot shows the 4 that were displayed in this terrain. I can now snap to one of these to get the 'permanent' contour drawn.
