Is there a way to remove the foot mark from the elevation text?
I have found if I remove the label from my working units it goes away - but is this the proper way to do this
Using ORD 10.04.00.48
That is ok. the design file settings controls the units display.

Does it use a dimension style. If it does not, it should as then you could control if the style has no units displayed.

It does use a style for the manually placed elevation text labels.
I am looking for the automated / dynamic text placed to not have the foot symbol - there is a place in the feature to set the number of decimal places displayed but not to control the label used.
I think it is a little weird to have to remove the unit label from my working units to remove the foot mark from the elevation text.
I agree. I'd much rather control that from the label itself. I don't want (and I REALLY don't want the less proficient users!) to have to go mucking about with working unit definitions just to place a piece of text correctly.
