After the conversation, i was working with ORD on the Event Point List. Effectively with thwt command you can put.

hi,

i keep trying but i don´t know yet. i used the comand Event Point List but it don´t insert the element to profile. you plese wait. We are waiting for to be included in interface the command "insert event point" in the geometry horizontal and project in the geometry vertical.

i work the ORD 2021 R2 don´t are included.

What if you:

1)make the vertical geometry from "Event Point" object active...

2) add "Event Point" object to profile as a "Project Profile To Element"

3) create Named Boundary (Civil Profile) from profile view and add annotation group to

With annotation group you should elevation and station of the geometry objects in you profile.

Maybe a longshot, but as for now ii is mabe the only way. Unless "Event Point" are included in the next update coming soon

How about "Project Profile To Element" from "Profile Creation" toolbar in OpenRoads . Would that help you?

I'm looking for this also, something similar to InRoads where I can just put in stations and get elevations. Also with the option to report.

good morning Karon

that method is not valid for me, but i work with many points in my alignement. ( pipes with special pieces)
I have achieved that by clicking on the profile visrtaul I draw the point in the horizontal geometry. but not in the profile itself
I have generated the model and the profile view and in it, if I can draw the point and write it down but I can not visualize it in the horizontal geometry.
I need to know where I connect (standards) the point to be displayed in both horizontal and vertical geometry.

Hi Maria

you have to draw a horizontal geometry from the “event “ point to the alignment. Better if you could cross it. Add to geometry elevation according to the elevation of the point ( the vertical geometry have to be active)
after that you use profile intersection point... choosing first the alignment, then geometry for your event point.
sometimes it is hard to see the point in the profil...try to open up properties and select with crossing around the area in the profile where you at expecting the point to appear. If it’s there you should see what you capture in properties

1) create (horizontal geometry) profile alignment in your 2d file along your active terrain

2) draw horizontal geometry from the (event) element you want to insert into profile

3) add elevation to the horizontal geometry

4) open up profile from the alignment

5) add the (event) element to the profile through Profile Intersection Point

No there is nothing in ORD similar to Event Point, for now at least. There is how ever a work around by using Profile Intersection Point.
