There is a key in for Surface Templates or Process Corridors, but I don't believe there is one for syncing templates. Load Macro and select one of these. One is for corridors templates; the other is for linear templates. Run it.

It worked for us on ProjectWise. We have a huge number of driveways, using multiple files, on our current project using civil cells and needed to sync all the linear templates. Really saved us a bunch of time.

We are on the current release. ORD 10.10.23.15

Its not those ones (the Template Drop ones). Its the actual Corridor/Linear Template ones (the ones you select to access Corridor Objects, etc.)

yeah, you may have Linear Templates with no Template Drops (that were deleted). They should be the same ones you see in Explorer.

OK....been thinking....it found 182, but reality says only 101 elements....does that mean there is some trash sitting somewhere in the dgn? How do i dispose of it? Have compressed the dgn. Cheers for the reply btw....

hmm it uses the actual "Corridor" handles of the Corridor/Linear Template (and not the Template Drop itself) - could that be the issue? Looks like the Corridor handles are not displayed?

Mark, Thanks for the snappy reply. Seems the handles are visible. These are all linear templates. All the levels are displayed for the 2d window. 'construction' attribute is on.

yep, perhaps the corridor handle levels are turned off? It gets those vertices to simulate a manual click.

Mark,

Almost got it working...counts up the number of linear templates, but stops where it is trying to count up maybe the vertices of each element??

but the code stops here

Have got a couple of 'watch' items on and seems to be populating those, but there are no vertices to be found, or the variable it is looking for has changed location????

oVertexList = oElement.ConstructVertexList(0)

I couldnt find any vertices in the watch window for the 'oElement' and dug down a few levels of information.

Any assistance would be super.

Hi Siva,

You can use the terrainmodel template update keyin to sync a surface template with one click. Unfortunately I do not know of a way to update them all in one process.

I got more than 200 terrains which got surface templates and its not easy to go to every surface template and sync.

Sure, in the meantime, you can remove the scan criteria for this by deleting the lines that includes the term classes.

That is indeed it. Changing the the class to construction was enough to make V2.1 work. Is it possible to make a version that works for all classes?

maybe your Template Drops aren't on Construction class? To keep scan time down for large models it only scans elements on Construction class (as they are by default in the delivered Feature Definitions)

Hi Merlijn,

I have just updated the zip in the original post to reflect the latest version. Changes include:

only processes visible Corridors / Linear Templates - allows for filtering by Level for example
Synchronises per Corridor instead of per Template Drop (since added functionality in 2020 Release 1).

Not sure what issue you were having, but hopefully fixed in this version.

Yes, I am. There are multiple corridors with template drops, so it should work.

Hi Dick,

Unfortunately only ORD at this stage, although it could be modified to work on the older OR SS4-10 versions with some minor changes. Although I'm not bothering with the legacy versions, I'll see if I can post a guide to changes required for you to update it if you know your way around VBA.

I wonder if I'm using this incorrectly but after loading the project in VBA project manager, no macro is being listed? Or does this only work in OR? I am using Geopak SS10
