Can someone please tell me how to change the direction of the brown arrow.
I tried right click and left click already.

The arrow direction is indicating the current direction of the alignment. There is no option to reverse it while using the single offset partial tool. If you are trying to change the alignment direction a transpose tool is being planned for a future update. In the meantime, you can complex the alignment in the opposite direction or drop it and complex again (noting that the vertical alignment would be lost in that case).
