I am using Open Roads in Microstation. Today I am working on profiles and it keeps crashing. Is crashing a typical problem for Open Roads? I have a new machine that I got specifically to handle Open Roads but today its been a bear. Any tips or things I can look at to make it perform better?
thanks
Brandon
Brandon - are you working with OpenRoads Designer [ORD]? There is nothing called Open Roads.
ORD has the MicroStation CAD engine built into it, but it is a standalone application i.e. it does not run 'in MicroStation' - just wanted to clarify that.
Yes Open Roads Designer is what I meant.
Hi Brandon,
What exactly are you doing when ORD crashes?
Deleting a horizontal alignment or creating a vertical alignment. Seems there are just some lines it doesn't like.
I have found that going to your c:\users\your_username\appdata\local\bentley\openroadsdesigner\10.x.x.x\prefs and deleting everything seems to help a lot. You might want to save your *.upf file though (user preference file)
